I'm Kayla May, the person behind the lens.

I am a Toronto and Southern Ontario based wedding photographer and I absolutely love capturing intimate and real moments through photography. I believe in love – no matter what it looks like. I play with light and I tell stories through moments.

I love travelling and have lived in a few different places including Australia, Texas, and New Zealand. Being in nature and witnessing moments of awe are my biggest source of inspiration. Nothing feeds my soul more than experiencing new places and creating new connections. I love music, festivals, and live shows. I like to mix it up in the kitchen, although I am not the best recipe follower. I am an avid reader and love making recommendations to friends. My happy place is being on the water with friends and family at my cottage in Haliburton.

I absolutely love learning about what makes your relationship unique and seeing the excitement and connection during the planning and on the day of. My biggest recommendation is to try to bring yourselves to the day in ways that are about you two and no one else. I love working with couples who like to do things a little differently and who value authenticity. My goal is to capture the big and little moments and let your funky, whacky, genuine, different, loving, joyous selves SHINE.
